Karyn is president of HUMORx, a humor based stress management and communications company and is an active member of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor, International Society of Humor Studies, National Speakers Association and co-founder of The World Laughter Tour. She educates audiences on the physiological, psychological and social benefits of humor and laughter and entertains them with real life stories that they can relate to and has been called the “catalyst to happiness through laughter”! Karyn’s expertise has been utilized in national media such as ABCNews.com, Advance for Nurses, Fit, Life@Work, Marie Claire, Personal Excellence, Shape and Woman’s World magazines. She has appeared as special guest expert on “Iyanla" and "On Main Street" in addition to numerous radio programs. She is a contributing author of Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul, Give Stress A Rest, Humor and Wellness in Clinical Intervention and newly released, Chicken Soup for the Christian Woman's Soul. Karyn co-edited Nursing Perspectives on Humor. She is author/publisher of This Won't Hurt A Bit!
